Our mision, vision and values.
Proluo UPV emerged as a solution to one of the most pressing issues facing our planet in the 21st century: the alarming pollution by plastics in oceans, seas, and water sources. This non-profit project originated at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, specifically at the Vera Campus. Proluo has formed as a team of diverse and highly committed students, supported by professionals, advisors, and professors. Our main objective is the development of innovative filters to capture plastics, along with conducting research and studies on water and environmental pollution. Currently, we are working on a variety of prototypes named BLAU, efficient low-cost filters capable of capturing microplastics from our seas. Our primary focus at present is on the Mediterranean Sea.
Our mission is to clean the Mediterranean Sea of microplastics taking advantage of existing maritime activity through an efficient and passive filter called BLAU I.
We want to achieve a sea free of microplastics to keep alive life on him and on Earth, and be an inspiration to others to take sustainable initiatives
Some of our main values are: Sustainability, Innovation, and Teamwork
The people who make this possible.
